Which dyeing method is right for me?

Here we’ll discuss the 3 main methods of dyeing, and guide you to choosing the most appropriate method for your project.

Liquid dye can provide more control and cleaner lines. The “classic” tie dye look. The fastest method that takes the least space.

Ice dye can provide more variety in colours as the dyes split into their components. There is a natural flow to the piece as the melting ice carries the colour through. Needs more time but less involved than liquid dye.

Foam dye requires the most supplies and time of the 3 methods. Creates beautiful, soft, marbled patterns. Works well for pastels. Great for shaped items such as shoes and hats.
